POWELL, WYOMING - Police and other law enforcement agencies in the area have converged on the Park Motel in Powell after a shooting incident.
Few details of what happened are available but Montana's News Station has been in contact with people around the motel who tell us a hostage incident took place in the early morning hours.
CJ Baker of the Powell Tribune reports that one man died after being shot by police at the motel during the apparent hostage situation, and that shots were fired from the motel at several points during the incident; click here to read more.
Baker reports that the Powell police chief said that the man self-reported that he had hostages, that he was armed, and some demands were made.
The name of the suspect has not yet been released.

No other fatalities or injuries have been reported.
